Origin - Australia Tasmania ( Tasmanian Oak) & Victoria provide most of the timber sold as Australian Oak.
Durability - Non durable, Class 4
Uses - furniture, panelling, internal timber mouldings, flooring, in eastern states lower grades used in construction.
We carry a large range of sawn Australian Oak in stock, and specialise in machining it into moulding or board products to custom order.
We also carry a large range of stock moulding in Australian Oak.
Meranti
Origin - Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand
Durability - non durable, but is traditionally used in some covered external applications.
Uses - internal mouldings, joinery, panelling

Radiata Pine - Clear Grade
Origin - New Zealand, Australia
Durability - non durable, not suitable for any external applications.
Uses - internal mouldings, furniture

Western Red Cedar
Origin - North America, Canada
Durability - very durable, has been the timber of choice for non structural external applications, for many years in South Australia.
Uses - Non Structural, External/Internal Cladding, external joinery, garden furniture, external mouldings etc.
